cernlib-extras software package provides CERNLIB data analysis suite - extra programs, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cernlib-extras
cernlib-extras is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cernlib-extras package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cernlib-extras *
You will get with cernlib-extras package name, version, architecture and description in a table
